Reports

Key concepts

To fully grasp the documentation, we must first clarify some key concepts within Kubewise:

• report type: as the name suggest, this is the type of report you want to generate. See below for supported types.

• target: a target represent the set of data you want to use for the report. It is dependent of the type of report you have selected.

• data window: a date or a date range that should be used to extract data for the report.

Reports types

As of today, Kubewise is able to generate following types of reports:

• cluster cost: this type of report will break down the cost of your Kubernetes cluster per namespace and application.

• cluster runtime: this type of report will give you some analytics regarding your Kubernetes workloads, and Kubernetes resources events encountered.

• cluster security: this type of report analyzes Kubernetes clusters’ applications security. Both in terms of container images vulnerabilities as well as Kubernetes configuration issues.
